Blueberry Café is a bright and contemporary cafeteria at Coolings Green & Pleasant. Seasonal recipes using locally-sourced ingredients ensure only the best, freshest produce is on offer and the relaxed atmosphere is ideal for families at any time of day.
Breakfast: poached eggs on toast is a wonderful light way to start the day, whilst our famous Full English Breakfast, not for the faint-hearted, will satisfy even the largest appetite! For breakfast any time, try our tasty All-Day Breakfast Bap.
Lunch: a wide selection of dishes ranging from generously-filled sandwiches and paninis, home-made soups and baked potatoes, light bites and salads to hot lunches such as Wholetail Scampi, Chips & Peas, Homemade Quiche of the Day, and a Pan Fried Salmon with crushed new potatoes, freshly cooked to order each day. Blueberry Café is fully licensed, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or locally-brewed beer with your meal, too.
Afternoon Tea: freshly baked home-made scones, crumpets, tea cakes, and a great range of home-made cakes, tray bakes, cookies and goodies with a range of hot and cold drinks, including our own house blend coffee (see below for more details) and a choice of milk or dark luxury hot chocolate. What a treat!
Children: we have a special menu for children which includes all their favourites, such as Chicken Goujons, and Fish Fingers, Chips and Peas. With a Pick & Mix picnic selection, including sandwiches, drinks, crisps, fruit, cheese portions and yoghurts, you can be sure you’ll find a filling and well-balanced meal for your child whatever their taste.
Coffee: we’ve teamed up with Beanworks, a small team of people who are fanatical about coffee and they’ve created a great-tasting ‘house blend’ for us: carefully sourced green coffee, meticulously roasted, origins – Colombia/Nicaragua/Brazil/India. Roaster’s notes: Buttery/Bright/Spicy. We also host regular ‘guest blends’, particularly chosen to offer an alternative flavour, ask at the counter for details of this month’s blend.

Our children may not have seen Michael Bond’s BBC TV series “The Herbs”,
but many of us have very fond memories of this delightful programme. The programme introduced us to characters like Parsley the Lion, Dill the Dog, and Sir Basil and Lady Rosemary. These all represented herbs that are delicious and easy to grow - an ideal introduction to gardening for children.
